About FedImpute

AfriGen-D FedImpute is an African-led, African-hosted platform for genotype imputation. Researchers upload VCF files, discover reference panels across federated nodes, and run imputation workflows -- all through GA4GH standard APIs.

The platform is built for federation: every node exposes the same GA4GH services (WES, DRS, Data Connect, Passport), so a single submission can run against multiple nodes and panels. Data stays on African infrastructure under POPIA, and access is governed by Passport visas rather than per-service accounts.

Standards Compliance

The platform is built on open standards from the Global Alliance for Genomics and Health (GA4GH) to ensure interoperability, security, and reproducibility across all connected services.
